Preparation : Combine sugar, flour, 1 stick of butter and set aside. In sauce pan, bring to boil, 3 Tbsp. cocoa, Crisco and water. Pour over flour mixture. Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, cinnamon, baking soda and 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour onto a jelly roll pan, bake at 400F for 20 minutes. Combine 1 stick of butter, 3 Tbsp. cocoa, 3 Tbsp. milk, 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 cup nuts to make frosting. Bring frosting mixture to a boil. When cakes cool, apply frosting.
