Recipe : Frozen coleslaw


Ingredients for Frozen coleslaw
1 Large head of cabbage, shredded
1 Large carrot, shredded
1 Onion, chopped finely
1/4c.Water
1tsp.Celery seed
1tsp.Salt
1 Green pepper, chopped finely
1c.White vinegar
2c.Sugar
1tsp.Mustard seed

Preparation :

In a large bowl, combine cabbage and salt. Let stand for one hour. Squeeze juice out of cabbage, and place in mixing bowl. Add remaining vegetables. In a sauce pan, add vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed. Bring to a boil. Boil for one minute. Cool until lukewarm, pour over cabbage mixture. Place in freezer container, freeze overnight.
