Recipe : Ribbon Macaroni


Ingredients for Ribbon Macaroni
2 1/2c.Flour
2Eggs
3Tbsp.Cold water
1/2tsp.Salt
2qt.Salted water
Sauce
Cheese (optional)

Preparation :

Place the flour on a bread board. Make a hole in the middle of it, and break both eggs into it.

Add water and the salt. Combine with a fork until the flour is absorbed and you have a paste which you can roll out.

Take a rolling pin and roll it out very thin, about the thickness of a dime. Leave it spread out like this until it has dried somewhat.

Double it over several times (lengthwise), and cut it across in strips about 1/2 inch wide.

Boil the salted water, and put the ribbons into it. Cook for 10 minutes, and drain.

Serve with the sauce of your choice. Add cheese, if desired.
