Recipe : Pork chops in Spanish sauce


Ingredients for Pork chops in Spanish sauce
4 Pork chops
2Tbsp.Flour
1/4tsp.Salt
1/4tsp.Pepper
1/2c.Water
1/2c.Shortening
2Tbsp.Butter
1/2c.Chopped celery
1 Can stewed tomatoes (16oz.)
1/4tsp.Pepper
1/2c.Chopped onion
1/4c.Chopped green pepper
1tsp.Seasoned salt
3 Dash of Tabasco sauce

Preparation :

Dust pork chops with flour, salt and pepper. Brown slowly in shortening. Transfer to a baking dish. Add water and cover. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes. While baking, prepare sauce as follows. Melt butter, cook onions, celery, green pepper until wilted. Do not brown. Add tomatoes and seasoning. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Take chops out of oven. Pour sauce over pork chops. Return to 350F oven, bake for 1 1/2 hour, until tender.
