Recipe : Potato broccoli bake


Ingredients for Potato broccoli bake
2Tbsp.Butter
1tsp.Salt
1/8tsp.Ground nutmeg
1pkg.Cream cheese, cubed (3oz).
4c.Frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed (16oz.)
1pkg.Frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained (10oz.)
1/4c.Fine dry breadcrumbs
2Tbsp.Flour
1/8tsp.Pepper
2c.Milk
1/2c.Swiss cheese, shredded
1Tbsp.Melted butter

Preparation :

Melt 2 Tbsp. of butter, blend in flour, nutmeg, pepper and salt. Add milk, cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add cream cheese and Swiss cheese, stir until melted. Stir in potatoes. In a 10 inch x 6 inch baking dish, place half the potato mixture. Top with cooked broccoli, spoon remaining potato mixture over broccoli. Cover and bake at 350F for 35 minutes, remove from oven. Mix breadcrumbs with 1 Tbps. of melted butter. Sprinkle breadcrumbs around the edges of the casserole. bake uncovered 10-15 minutes.
